A wonderful acrostic bracelet from the Georgian era. The bracelet is made from pinchbeck, a gold substitute developed in the 18th Century by Christopher Pinchbeck. This bracelet is a woven mesh style made from fine threads. It has a fabulous decorative clasp at the centre, which is set with four colourful paste stones. The stones are the paste versions of Lapis Lazuli, Opal, Vermeil (an older term for garnet or cinnabar) and Emerald, which spell out LOVE. The clasp is in excellent working order and the bracelet looks wonderful on the wrist. Such a treasure.

Size - The clasp measures approx 37mm by 18mm. The bracelet is around 6 1/4” long. It is pictured on a 6” wrist and fits perfectly.
Condition - Excellent. Stones are original and in excellent condition. Some extremely minimal wear to the mesh near the clasp, commensurate with age.
