A gorgeous and fairly rare Georgian charm. The pendant is made from pinchbeck and has been made in the shape of a basket. The basket still has an excellent gold colour to the pinchbeck and has green and white wide enamel stripes all around its bulbous shape. The basket opens to reveal a little compartment inside. Perhaps it was once used for a sweetly scented sponge. The bail is a good size to be worn on most fine chains and this pendant is a collectors treat.

Condition - Good. Lots of wear to the enamel; it is a fairly clumsy in its application
