A stunning ring from the Georgian period, c1800. The ring is made from solid 9ct gold and is a beautiful oval shape, which has lovely finger coverage. At the centre, behind the mildly domed glass, are the initials, thought to be OBV. They are carefully formed with white silk cord and have an elaborate form making them very decorative. They sit in the closed back setting allowing the slightly rosy gold to be their background.
Surrounding this is a wonderful halo of jargoons. Jargoons are natural colourless zircons that have been rose cut to resemble diamonds. With this particular ring, you would be forgiven for thinking they really were rose diamonds as they glitter and sparkle beautifully. The ring has a classic Georgian form and makes a lovely statement on the hand.
