Late Georgian Almandine Garnet Ring

A pretty and elegant ring from the end of the Georgian period. The ring is made from 18ct gold and has a beautiful cluster of almandine garnets as the centrepiece. The garnets are set neatly in a decorative floral design and the ring has a fine shank, which has beautiful foliate shoulders. The shank narrows towards the back and is reeded. Such a pretty and unusual design.

Materials - 18ct Gold (tested), Almandine Garnets

Age - C1830s

Size - The centrepiece measures approx 12mm by 9mm.

Ring Size - UK O US 7 ¼ It would be best not to resize this ring as it would affect the reeded shank

Condition - Very good. The smaller surrounding garnets have some minor nibbles here and there. Visible through a loupe only.
