A beautiful and unusual ring from the late Georgian/early Victorian period. The ring is made from 18ct gold with silver settings and has two pretty table cut diamonds set in east-to-west settings on either side of a deep pink ruby. The gemstones are all natural and are unusual in their simple rectangular cuts.

Table cuts are the first intentional shaping of a diamond and originated in the 14th century. These are lovely old stones that have been set in a more modern formation during this period. The ring is a real example of changing styles over time.
