Late Victorian 9ct Cabochon Garnet Locket
A pretty and unusual locket from the turn of the last century, c1900. The locket is made from 9ct gold and has a circular double frame with a pretty oval pendant suspended within. The pendant has a lovely cabochon garnet set in a simple bezel setting. This hides a little secret; to the back of the pendant is a tiny locket compartment. The locket can slide out to place your own photo behind, though it is fairly fiddly to put back in! A lovely piece with a simple design. It feels ahead of its time with a slightly modernist feel.
The locket will come on a 14kt gold fill chain similar to the one pictured.

Condition - Very good. The locket slides out and the glass part is separate from the frame.
