Silver WW1 Fumsup Necklace

£0.00
sold out

A lovely example of this rare lucky charm. This little person is a ‘fumsup’ charm from WW1 likely given to a soldier for luck during the war. Fairly often, these charms have silver bodies with wooden heads, though this one is a hollow example made entirely from silver. It has a patent number on the back and the words ‘good luck’ on the back of the head, as well as ‘fumsup’ on its belly.

The charm hangs on a more modern silver belcher chain that measures around 16” long.

Details:

Materials - Silver (tested)

Age — C1910s

Size - The charm measures around 26mm long excluding the added bail and is approx 8mm wide.

Condition - Very good. Some wear commensurate with age.

Weight - 1g charm only. 3.42g with chain
