Stunning earrings that have been converted from antique buttons from the late 17th/early 18th century. These came to me as they are and were too good to resist. The buttons are wonderful Stuart crystal buttons with faceted rock crystal to the front in closed back silver settings. The settings have pretty wave designs to the back, whilst the crystal is backed by foil. One earring appears pinker than the other due to wear to the foil over time and I love how the foils have been left in their original form.
The earrings are a beautifully large size to make a real statement in the ear. They are complete with 9ct gold shepherd hook fittings and sit in the ear perfectly.

Size - The earrings measure approx 16.5mm in diameter.
Condition - Very good. Minimal wear to the facets, commensurate with age. One rock crystal has a chip to the bottom edge, please see the pictures. The other has a little nibble to the edge near the setting. Both are noted for accuracy only and not detrimental to the earrings overall.
