A wonderful ring from the first half of the 20th Century. The ring has a beautiful high dome rock crystal that has been reverse painted with a small white dog, possibly a terrier or havanese. The dog has a wonderful expression and there is excellent detail despite the fact that the dog is all white. The little red collar is a lovely highlight and the high dome of the crystal allows the painting to be viewed from various angles. It is backed by mother of pearl as is customary of these little works of art. The rock crystal sits in a substantial silver setting, which is marked sterling on the underside.

This ring should not be worn around water.
