A stunning, friendly faced snake ring from the Victorian period. The snake is made from solid 15ct gold and has a beautiful curving body to create the shank with a chunky smiling face at the centre top. The tail curves around the head to complete a pretty design. The head is set with a deep pink almandine garnet and it has pear shaped ruby eyes. It is fairly unusual and elegant for this style of ring.

Size - The head of the ring measures around 9mm by 6mm. The garnet measures approx 5mm by 4mm.

Ring Size - UK K ½ US 5 ½ This ring could be resized

Condition - Good. The gemstones are fairly rubbed. The facets of the garnet are distinctly worn. One of the ruby eyes is damaged, though secure in the setting. The other is in good antique condition. All details are not wholly obvious when worn and the ring retains its charm.
