An amazing pair of earrings from the mid Victorian period. The earrings are made from original dollar coins, each dated 1853. The coins are solid 21.6ct gold, which gives them the most amazing colour and have the Liberty head on one side with the date on the back. The coins have 14kt gold hooks set to the back, which have a clasp to the bottom making them very secure in the ear. I have had one pair of dollar coin earrings before and they are becoming increasingly hard to find. A brilliant rarity!
