A lovely example of this style of locket from the late Victorian period. The locket is 9ct gold to the back and the front, whilst the inner linings and frames are gold coloured metal. This was a common construction for lockets during this period.
The heart is a lovely size with a slightly puffy shape. The gold has a pale appearance and the heart is set with a hand cut rose diamond to the front in a star design. I love how the star points reach out in lines across the locket, for added oomph. The locket opens on a hinge and has two frames within. These can be removed to place your own photos inside and the locket clasps with a decent click.

Size - The heart measures approx 24mm high, excluding the bail, by around 23mm wide.
Condition - Very good. There is a minimal line ding to the back, very faint and only visible in certain lights. I have tried to capture in the pictures. A similar smaller one to the front, again, very hard to see. Overall excellent antique condition, all details are for accuracy only.
