A quirky and fun pair of earrings from the late Victorian period. The earrings are made from 15ct gold and have simple gold settings with a coronet design to the top. The setting holds beautiful pale blue paste stones that look like a lovely pale aquamarine. They are complete with shepherds hook fittings and look very pretty in the ear.
Details:
Materials - 15ct Gold (tested), Paste
Age - Victorian
Size - The paste measure approx 9mm by 6mm in the settings. The earrings are around 20mm long from the top of the hook to the bottom of the setting.
Condition - Good. There are some curious gold edges to the outer of the earrings; perhaps the settings started life as something else? One paste has a small chip to the table. The other has a small chip near a claw.
Weight - 1.5g the pair
