A quirky and unusual ring from the Victorian period. The ring is made from solid 18ct gold and has a wonderful carved carnelian as the centrepiece. The carnelian has been carved into a scarab with lovely detail throughout. The underside depicts a man sitting; it is difficult to decipher the exact representation. The carnelian has been pinned through the stone making it secure in its setting.
This ring should be worn with care due to the nature of the setting.
