A gorgeous telescopic pencil from the Victorian period. The pencil is made from solid 9ct gold and is a beautiful pendant size. The outer pencil ‘case’ is exquisitely decorated with decorative enamel. There are five turquoise ‘panel’ sections that each have a seed pearl set at the centre. The pencil pulls out from the bottom of the casing and extends as it is removed. There is no lead in it currently, though the pencil would work fully if some were added. The fit is perfect and the pencil sits firmly in place allowing you to wear it as a pendant.

Size - When out of the case, the pencil is 42mm long. The pendant is 38mm long including the bail.
Condition - Very good. There is a little damage to the turquoise enamel in one section. This is difficult to spot without a loupe and is not detrimental to the overall look. It has been pictured.
