A wonderful locket from the Victorian period. It is made from solid 18ct gold, which is marked on the bail, and is a pretty fan design that has a little catch to the bottom and springs open when released. The fan is beautifully made and has three oval frames inside. Each frame is open to the bottom to allow a picture to be slid into place. To the front, there is a shamrock design with rose diamonds set into each of the leaves.
Such an exquisite locket and in beautiful condition. The gold has a mildly matte appearance, which is always rather pleasing and the catch has a good, firm click to hold the locket in place.
