Victorian Domed Glass Locket
A lovely locket from the Victorian period made from silver. It appears to have a French mark, though this is illegible now. The locket is a lovely flat orb with some doming to the glass though it is not a full sphere. The glass reflects the light beautifully and has a mildly magnifying effect. The locket opens on a screw fitting to the top, which releases the frame to allow you to remove the glass. You can then place your own photo inside. There is not enough space to make this a shaker locket with gemstones inside, in my opinion.
