Victorian Enamel Clam Shell with Pearl
A wonderful petite pendant from the Victorian period. The pendant is silver, though its main presentation is a stunning vibrant blue enamel to the front and the back. It has been made in the shape of a clam shell with the subtle markings in the enamel imitating the markings on the outside of a clam shell. The shell has been made to rest slightly open and has a beautiful white baroque pearl sticking out of its ‘mouth’. Such a beautiful pop of colour.
The chain pictured is for display only.
Details:
Materials - Silver, Enamel, Pearl
Age - Victorian
Size - The shell measures approx 10mm wide by 8mm high. The pearl sticks out by around 4.5mm. Including the bail and pearl, the length is approx 18mm.
Condition - Good. Some mild nibbles to the edges of the enamel. Not particularly visible and noted for accuracy only.
Weight - 0.8g
