Victorian Enamel Target & Arrow Seal

£350.00

A gorgeous and unusual fob seal from the late Victorian period. The seal is made from solid 15ct gold and has a lovely representation of a target at the centre with blue and white enamel. At the base of the target are two arrows, which cross each other. The seal is set with a bloodstone to the base and has pretty decoration in the gold. Perhaps it was an award for an archery club or competition or more romantically, the arrows and target could represent being shot through the heart with love. It is for the wearer and their imagination to know.

The chains pictured are for display only.
