Victorian Fede Ring

£0.00
sold out

A pretty and delicate ring from the Victorian period, c1860s. The ring is made from 15ct gold and has the familiar symbol of the clasped hands at the top, known as a fede ring. These represent love, unity and commitment and the word comes from the Italian for faith. Mani in fede means ‘hands in faith’. This ring has a circle of plaited hair with a gold surround and is a lovely, fine example.

This ring should be worn with care.

Size - The hands are approx 5mm by 10mm. The ring is around 3mm wide.
