A beautiful and rare locket from the Victorian period. The locket is made from solid 18ct gold and has a lovely textured front with vibrant forget-me-not flowers picked out in exquisite enamel. To the back, a decorative scrolling pattern has been engraved with highlights of black enamel. Inside there are frames on each side. One still has the original glass, though this has a crack across it. I have left it as is, as with gentle care, it sits securely in the frame. The locket closes with a good click and the beautiful blue flowers are in lovely condition.
