Victorian Forget Me Not Spinner Seal

£195.00

A beautiful and tiny spinner seal from the late Victorian period. The seal has a white chalcedony gemstone that has been carved with a forget-me-not flower to be used as a seal in wax. The fob spins on its axle and the other side holds a bloodstone, which has been carved with an anchor leaning against the cross. This represents hope and symbolises steadfastness and composure. The seal is made from rolled gold, though you’d be forgiven for thinking it is real gold.

Chains pictured are for display only. Other charms available separately.

Detalis:

Materials - Rolled Gold, Chalcedony, Bloodstone

Age - Victorian

Size - The seal measures approx 17mm long including the bail, by 12.5mm wide.

Condition - Very good. The seal has a small bail and is only suitable for certain fine chains.

Weight - 1.7g
