A cool and striking pair of earrings from the end of the Victorian period, c1890s. The earrings are made from 9ct gold and have beautiful balls of French jet set into closed back settings. The jet has been carefully bored into to create little holes that have been filled with tiny gold dots. The design is very effective and the earrings resemble little sputniks. The earrings have post and butterfly fastenings and are fairly lightweight meaning they sit well in the earlobe.
