A wonderful and rare locket from the Victorian period. The locket is at least 15ct gold and has an 18ct gold wash over the top. It is a perfect sphere and has a wonderful hidden hinge. The little catches to one side are the only things that protrude from the beautiful orb. Inside is a glass covered locket compartment that can be eased out with a small blade or pin to allow you to put your own momento inside. A truly lovely golden sphere.
