Victorian Jack in the Box Charm
A wonderful charm from the Victorian period, c1890s. The charm pendant is made from 9ct gold, marked on the inside of the lid with '9ct'. It is a perfectly formed rectangular gold box with three little turquoise gemstones set on three of the sides. One of the sides is hinged and opens to reveal a silver Victorian gentleman, complete with pipe. The hinged panel shuts firmly with a click closure and the 'Jack' is on a spring that allows him to fold inside neatly. When closed, the box is a lovely looking box charm with its secret well hidden.
