Victorian Jester Puppet Charm
A gorgeous and detailed charm from the Victorian period, c1880s. The charm is made from 9ct gold and has been made to resemble a jester. The main reference I have found to this style of jester is a poster from the late 1800s from the Alsace region in France. The costume is distinctly shaped and the little chain at the bottom can be pulled down to make his legs and arms raise. This particular charm is in full working order and in lovely antique condition.
