Victorian 'Key to my Heart' Ring

£550.00

A beautiful ring from the late Victorian period. The ring is made from solid 15ct gold, marked on the inside of the shank, and has a lovely emblem with a bow-topped heart, key and heart lock. This is likely a promise ring or given as a token of love as this design represents ‘a key to my heart’.

The ring has a pretty reeded shank and the heart is set with a dark pink ruby. The ruby is likely a replacement of the original; perhaps it was lost or damaged over time. This is an ideal colour for this lovely sentiment and the ring has a low profile making it very comfortable on the hand.
