A wonderful pair of earrings from the late Victorian period, c1880s. The earrings are made from 14kt gold and silver and are a fabulous large size. They have large domed natural lapis lazuli gemstones claw set at the centre of a halo of diamonds. The diamonds are rose cuts and are set in silver. The lapis are a wonderful deep blue colour with interesting markings across the surface. The diamonds are lovely and white and are a beautiful contrast to the deep blue in the centre. The back of the earrings are 14kt yellow gold and they have gold shepherds hooks fastenings.
