A stunning pair of earrings from the late Victorian period. The earrings are made from silver gilt; sterling silver that has been gilded with gold to give it a soft matte gold appearance. They are a gorgeous pair of micromosaics depicting a bunch of forget-me-nots on each. The tesserae are set into black onyx and the colours really pop on the black background. They are a lovely large size and look very beautiful when worn.

Size - The onyx measure approx 26.5mm by 23mm. The earrings measure around 53mm long in total from the top of the hook to the point of the drop
Condition - Very good. A tiny chip in the onyx on one earring, possibly original to the setting of the tesserae. Some very small nibbles around the edges. One of the earrings has the faintest hairline crack to the back, though all is secure and appears stable.
