A stunning heart locket from the Victorian period, made on a lovely large scale. The front of the locket is set throughout with natural coral that has been pavé set and covers the entirety of the front face. The locket also has its original bail set with coral gemstones. To the back, there is a heart shaped frame, which can be removed to place your own photo inside. The locket back has the original glass.
The heart is made from gold coloured metal, which generally remains, though it has faded in some areas. It does not detract from the overall beauty and the sheer scale of this wonderful locket is a true sight to behold. It is rare to find heart lockets with pavé coral as they are more often turquoise. This makes this locket a rarity in my opinion and the perfect addition for a coral or heart lover.
