Victorian Marquise Rose Diamond Ring
Such a beauty! This ring is made from 14kt gold with an oak leaf hallmark on the outside of the shank indicating that it originates from The Netherlands. It has a beautiful rose cut diamond set as a solitaire in a rub over setting. The diamond is a marquise shape; an unusual shape for this cut of diamond. It has been faceted perfectly to allow the light to bounce around the stone and sits in a closed back setting. This ring has been carefully made and is in excellent condition with hand engravings on the inside of the shank reading 1874 16/4 1899.
