Victorian Metal Snake Earrings

£0.00
sold out

A stunning pair of earrings from the Victorian period, c1880s. The earrings are made from gold coloured metal, likely brass, and have a rich yellow colour resembling gold. They have beautiful snakes that coil enticingly around a decorated ribbon design. Such a stunning pair and a good size too.

Details:

Materials - Brass

Age - Late Victorian

Size - The earrings measure around 19mm high, excluding the hook and ball fastenings, and are around 21mm wide.

Condition - Very good. One little ribbon tail is tucked in behide its curve. A detail behind the snake head that can hardly be seen and is noted for accuracy only. Likely made in this way as there does not appear to be any damage. The hooks appear slightly nearer silver than gold in colour.

Weight - 10.8g
