Victorian Opal & Diamond Halo Ring
A wonderful ring from the Victorian period, c1870s. The ring is made from 18ct gold and has a stunning high dome natural opal at the centre. The opal does not picture well and exhibits more colour and movement than the photos reveal. Surrounding this beautiful stone is a halo of rose cut diamonds. The diamonds all sit in a fairly solid gold setting and it gives the ring an individual look. The shank has a little engraving to the shoulders and narrows to a fine band towards the back. A lovely looking ring with plenty of personality.
