Victorian Painted Enamel Locket

A beautiful locket from the Victorian period and likely French in origin, though it has no markings. The locket is made from silver and has a wonderful hand painted enamel panel set to the front. There is a lovely texture to the painting and it is surrounded by a natural seed pearl set mount. To the back, a locket back slides out complete with the original bevelled glass. The locket has the original ornate bail and is a good size overall.
