A stunning scent bottle from the Victorian period. The bottle is made from silver coloured metal and is a seriously striking shape. It is in the shape of a stylised urn with an excellent point to the end. To the front, the scent bottle has been beautifully enamelled with a realistic pansy with plenty of detail throughout.

Pansies had a romantic connotation during this period as they are a pictorial representation of the French words ‘Je pense’ meaning ‘I think’, more directly ‘I think of you’.

Size - The bottle measures approx 68mm long excluding the chain, and is around 23.5mm wide including the handles. Including the chain and bail, the length increases to 92mm
