A pretty locket from the late Victorian period. The locket is made from sterling silver and is set throughout the front with pave turquoise. The turquoise is all natural and looks to be original with no evidence of glue. It varies in colour from bright blue to green as is often the case with old turquoise gems. The locket is complete with the original turquoise studded bail. To the back, there is a circular glass covered frame, which slides out to allow you to place your own photo inside.
The chain pictured is included in the price and is also sterling silver. It is a classic cable link and measures around 1.5mm wide. It is approx 18” long.
