A gorgeous pendant from the late Victorian period, likely converted from a stickpin, though it came to me as it is. The pendant is made from solid 9ct gold and is a bespoke claw setting for a stunning boulder opal. The opal is super vibrant and exhibits plenty of blues and greens with evidence of the host rock behind and at the centre. It is a natural shape and the setting has been made to follow this form.
The charm looks amazing on a simple chain and is a lovely pop of colour on the neck. The chain pictured is for display only.
Details:
Materials - 9ct Gold (tested), Boulder Opal
Age - Late Victorian
Size - The pendant measures approx 11.5mm long excluding the bail, by around 8mm wide.
Condition - Excellent
Weight - 0.9g
