A beautiful and simple locket from the Victorian period with a stunning shiny appearance. The locket is made from solid 9ct gold and seems to have a slightly higher carat gold wash to the exterior. It is a simple design and is plain to the front and back, though it has a wonderful, very slightly domed shape. The locket opens on a hinge to the bottom and has a lovely piece of mildly domed glass within. This is unusual and gives the locket a beautiful point of difference. It has a tactile feel and would be ideal to place your own photo or momento inside. The bail is lovely and large allowing for use with slightly thicker chains if required.
The chain pictured is for display only. The glass can be eased out of place by using a dress pin, pointed into the frame of the glass and lifted. I have found the best area to do this is near the inside of the hinge. If you would like the glass to be sent out of place, please let me know via email and I will do this for you.
