Victorian Sapphire & Diamond 'Lace' Ring

£675.00

A beautiful and unusual ring from the Victorian period. The ring has a wonderful curved panel that curls around the finger. It is beautifully pierced to create a statement ‘lace’ dress ring. Lace became more mainstream during the 19th century when it could be machine made and became a fashion staple. This ring is based on these designs and the panel is set throughout with rose cut diamonds. At the centre is a beautiful deep blue sapphire.

The ring curves around the finger perfectly and has a lovely low profile making it very comfortable on the hand. It is complete with little diamonds set in the shoulders of the shank. The shank is solid 9ct gold with a rosy hue, whilst the diamonds are set in silver as was customary during this period to show the diamonds in their best light.
