Victorian Shakudo Bird Scene Pendant

£450.00

A gorgeous pendant from the Victorian period. The pendant is a delightful scene with a bird akin to a grouse amongst the flowers and leaves close to the ground. The scene is composed in Shakudo, which is a Japanese alloy used in metal inlay. It involves inlaying gold, silver and copper into a darkened copper base. This creates the wonderful tri-colour pictures with the dark background really accentuating the scene.

This particular design is set in 14kt gold with a close static cable chain border. It is complete with a 9ct gold bail and looks very pretty on a chain.

The chain pictured is for display only.
