Victorian Silver Hardstone Lock
A wonderful lock from the Victorian period, likely Scottish in origin. The lock is in good working order and made from solid silver. It has an oval hardstone set into the front. This style of jewellery was popular in Scotland during this period and they would use all manner of polished hard stones in their pieces. This stone has a soft green colour and the lock has a wonderful decorative back with a shield shaped cartouche that could be engraved.
