A wonderful locket from the Victorian period, dated Birmingham 1881. The locket is made from sterling silver with full English hallmarks on the back and has a beautiful horseshoe emblem to the front, which sits proud of the front panel. The horseshoe displays lovely details and is surrounded by a textured line design to highlight it further.
At the centre of the horseshoe is a hat and hunting horn. The locket has a single frame within, which can be removed to place your photo inside. It has the original bail, which is also marked with a lion passant, and is a lovely size.
