A scarcely found charm from the late Victorian period, dated Birmingham 1897 with a makers mark for Adie & Lovekin Ltd. This peg doll is not an articulated one, though it is in excellent condition with all limbs and details present. It is fully hallmarked on the back as sterling silver with the lion passant.

Peg dolls became increasingly popular in the Victorian period and they were often sold undressed to allow people to create their own clothes and dress the dolls.
