The most stunning soft, yet vibrant, turquoise enamel earrings from the Victorian period. The earrings are made from 14ct gold and are marked with an antique ‘14’ mark towards the bottom of the fastenings. They are a beautiful flat dome shape with a seed pearl set in a star setting at the centre. The earrings open on a hinge to the dormeuse fastening and fasten into the ear back to front. This is not so difficult to master as you might think and the earrings clip securely into place.
These earrings have little rings at the base of the fitting as they would have been the top part of a pair of night and day earrings. This is the day section and a drop could still be added ‘for evening’ if required. They are so beautifully made.
