Victorian Turquoise Pomander
A gorgeous pendant from the Victorian period. The pendant is in the shape of a ball, is hollow and opens through the centre. It is pierced with a little pattern of holes to the front and the back. This is due to the fact that it is a pomander. Victorian life could be a little pungent and this would have contained a piece of scented cotton that would have been available to sweeten the air at any required moment. This particular pomander is made from 9ct gold that has a rosy hue and is studded with pretty turquoise gemstones. The turquoise exhibit some colour variation and are all original to the piece.
