Vintage 14kt Diamond Dress Ring
A pretty ring with the look of the early to mid 20th Century. The ring is made from 14kt gold and is marked on the inside with the makers mark from the Canadian firm, Birks. Birks was founded in 1879 and still exists to this day. This ring has a beautiful, elegant shape, reminiscent of some of the French styles we see from the early 20th Century. It has a much more recent British hallmark on the inside of the shank and this could have been added by a shop recently when it was imported as this has become a legal requirement.
There are three pretty brilliant cut diamonds down the centre of the ring, set in white gold. These are surrounded by pierced yellow gold work that has a slight rosy hue. The ring is beautifully made and in excellent condition.

Age - Hallmarked with a Birmingham mark for 2021. I believe it could be early to mid 20th Century
Size - The setting measures approx 20mm. by 12mm. Each diamond is around 2.5mm in diameter
