A wonderful locket from the mid 20th Century. The locket is made from solid 18ct gold and has hallmark stamps on the bail, though these are difficult to read. It is a lovely 3D ball shape, which has two hinged latches on each side that clip into place to keep the ball shut. They swing upwards to release the ball into a long locket. Each frame is in place in the locket and there are four sections with the centre two sections able to hold two photos back to back; this allows for six photos in total. The locket closes securely and is a good size - not too big and not too small.
The chain pictured is for display only. The pictures have been removed since these photographs were taken, though they can be supplied with the locket if required.

Size - The ball measures approx 16mm in diameter excluding the bail and catches. When extended it is around 59mm long. The photo areas are around 9.5mm each within the frames.
Condition - Very good. Minimal wear commensurate with age. The two centre double sided lockets have the original clear perspex cut to size to protect the photos. The end lockets do not have this.
