Vintage 1913 Half Sovereign Ring
A wonderful ring, c1960/70s, with a half sovereign dated 1913. Sovereigns are made from 22ct gold in three sizes; full, half and a quarter. This is a half sovereign and has the standard weight and measure of this size of these collectible coins. This one has been curved to fit around the finger and has a 9ct split shank attached on each side. Judging by the style of the shank, this would have been done in the 1970s when these coins were particularly fashionable. The luscious colour of the 22ct looks fabulous on the hand and the coin gives wonderful finger coverage. A truly great look!
