Vintage Enamel Egg Locket
A stunning locket from the late 20th Century based on a Victorian design. The locket is made from solid 9ct gold and has a hallmark for London 1979. It has beautiful enamel all over the front and the back with a vibrant, deep red within a gold lattice. The locket opens on a hinge to reveal a cavity within that is also enamelled. This is a beautiful soft yellow. The locket looks to have a frame on one side, though this is a tight fit and I have been unable to manoeuvre it out. I am sure it would come out with a little patience, though it does create a ‘lip’ within anyway allowing for a photo to be placed inside.
The chain pictured is for display only.
Details:

Size - The egg measures approx 22mm long excluding the bail, by around 17.5mm wide. It is 15mm deep.

Weight - 11.2g
