Vintage Faceted Amethyst Ring
An unusual and interesting ring from the middle of the 20th Century, c1960s/70s. The ring is made from 9ct gold and has a lovely, vibrant amethyst in a claw setting, which exhibits some natural inclusions through magnification. The amethyst is a beautiful purple and is slightly domed with rectangular facets cut across the shape. It is a pretty way of cutting the stone and allows the light to bounce off the facets in an unusual way. The ring is classic to the period and sits fairly high on a textured shank. Very 60s/70s.
